The Energy Saving Trust (EST) works closely with governments and businesses to promote and deliver sustainable, transformative energy programmes. When it comes to energy efficiency and clean energy solutions, it’s one of the most highly respected and trusted voices in Europe.

For the past seven years, Omnis Intelligence has built a solid partnership with EST, based on our extensive data, print and marketing skills.

EST first approached us with a seemingly simple data requirement — the organisation wanted to deliver a government-backed energy scheme to some of Wales’ most vulnerable communities.

Onmis’ consultants and analysts also identified significant marketing-related savings by planning and bulk ordering direct mail campaigns and associated materials upfront for an entire year — we also identified the most cost-effective print, fulfilment and postage methods. This saved EST 12p per completed mailing piece when compared to spend with their previous agency.

Direct mail campaigns proved time and again to be the most effective way for EST to persuade their target audience to switch to greener energy. This caused the company - as a champion of eco-friendly and sustainable use of the world’s resources - somewhat of a dilemma. We helped EST square that circle by putting sustainability at the heart of their postal campaigns. This included printing our mailing pieces using sustainable ink, made from recycled stock, and including the recycle logo on the envelope — all at no extra cost.

Over the years, EST has also entrusted us to support them in other ways, such as determining annual volumes based on budget allocation and setting out a yearly mailing schedule designed to ensure a steady flow of activity throughout the year.
